About Tina Caro, LPC, CCATP, ADHD-CCSP
“Research shows the most significant factor in a successful outcome is the relationship with the therapist - what might be described as ‘feeling felt’.”
-Lori Gottlieb, MFT
Hi, I’m Tina!
I am a Board Certified & Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Provider, & ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider and I am passionate about helping clients use self-discovery to lead them to their ideal life. I have known since I was young that I wanted to be a counselor - partly because of challenges I encountered in my own life, and mostly because I recognized how valuable supportive connection is when we’re going through tough times.
I strive for this connection with all of my clients. To feel understood and heard can make a difference in our lives.
Educational Background
I graduated from Immaculata University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. While there, I completed internships in both a medical-integrated care clinic and a private practice setting. I worked with adolescents and adults diagnosed with mood, personality, eating, substance use, and trauma-related disorders, and/or who were experiencing life transitions or relationship issues.
Professional Background
After my graduate degree, I continued my work in private practice with the populations listed above, with a focus in substance use disorders, those in their 20s-30s navigating life transitions, those working in the mental health field, and couples counseling. 5 years ago I opened my own practice, and received my PA state licensure. I also completed extensive and specialized trainings to earn certifications to treat Anxiety and ADHD. I maintain these certifications by regularly completing trainings for both specialties - including trainings on CBT, ERP, IFS, Executive Coaching, and Polyvagal approaches.
Currently I mainly work with those navigating the transitions that occur in quarter-life (20s & 30s), the anxieties that arise, how ADHD can often play a role in those anxieties. I will be offering in-person sessions in an office conveniently located off Route 30 on the Main Line in Paoli, just a short drive from Route 202, Route 29, Exton, King of Prussia, West Chester, and the other greater Philadelphia suburbs, starting in October 2025! Virtual sessions offered for all of PA, DE, and SC.
Personal Background
Outside of this work I love spending time and traveling with my husband and our dog, Ellie! I love to travel, read, garden, and stay active by running or on the Peloton app. Practicing my own self-care helps me show up as my best in both my personal and work life.
I am lucky to do this work and feel privileged to work with people as they tell their story and begin to understand themselves differently and more fully. If you’re looking for in-peson therapy near Paoli, or are in PA, DE, or SC and would prefer virtual sessions, reach out for more information about getting started.
